This week’s Bench of Glory assembly was all about independence. Packed into this one word (as we discovered as the teachers spoke) are the many qualities you need to do well at school! We knew by the end of assembly that every child who had won an award was a listener… we recognised that they were positive and proud, that they often helped others, that they never blamed their mum for forgetting their homework… They rarely lost their jumper and they were always determined! I think that sums up independence nicely!
