A victory in the cup for the girls and one in the league for the boys has seen our consistent form continue following the Saturday tournaments.

On Thursday 3rd October the girls played Rosecliffe in a cup game and came out comfortable winners in a 5-2 win. The girls now await Cropwell Bishop or Gotham in the next round.

The boys had two games last week and after a challenging game against an impressive Pierrepont Gamston side on the Monday, responded on the Thursday brilliantly beating Brookside by three goals to two in a well spirited match.

Not only has Paul been a dedicated hard worker on the pitch with his coaching and refereeing, he’s also been a hard worker off the pitch. After entering Willow Brook into a kit competition with British renewable energy group Octopus Energy, he surprised me after the Brookside game with eleven brand new sets of kit. With plans to debut the new kit in today’s league game versus Pierrepont Gamston girls, the rain put that opportunity on hold. Trying to remain positive and find an excuse to put it on, the girls who were due to play the game took part in a kit reveal instead that may go viral one day! My sincere thanks to Paul for his efforts in making this possible, the Willow Brook children cannot wait to wear this exciting new strip for their matches.
