We very much value our excellent partnership with parents and welcome their support and involvement. Parents and carers actively contribute to the life of the school in so many different ways. Volunteers listen to children read; work with groups in the classroom; support extra-curricular activities such as gardening, cooking and sports; join us on school visits; support whole school charity events and fundraising activities… the list is endless!
We have an open door policy and welcome you into school if there are any issues to discuss or for you to see something in school that your child has told you about. Not all parents are able to be on the playground in the mornings or at the end of the day and weekly newsletters and regular website updates keep all parents informed of what has been happening in school and of forthcoming events.
Concerts, plays, assemblies, sporting fixtures and many other special events allow family and friends to see the result of their children’s hard work and, of course, provide our children with the chance to showcase their many talents!
We also have an active PTA – the ‘Friends of Willow Brook’ who organise a wide range of events for the enjoyment and benefit of the children and their families. Due to the efforts of this hardworking group of volunteers our children have been provided with an additional wealth of opportunities and experiences.
