Twitch! This is the fabulous book by MG Leonard (author of the Beetle Boy trilogy and the Adventure on a Train mystery series) that you may have seen at home! We have been ploughing our way through this mystery and we’re nearly at the end…. hopefully you’ve been reading along too and also want to know what happens!
We have also been studying Michael Morpurgo’s wonderfully retold version of the Beowulf legend – the language and drama in the book is brilliant! We have studied at Beowulf’s battle with Grendel but he goes on to fight a sea hag and serpent!
Finally, for fun, Class 5 have been following another book with twists and turns, Holes by Louis Sachar. This is a personal favourite which I couldn’t put down. By the end of the book, I just wanted the story of Stanley Yelnats to go on and on! It’s one of those books you want to read again and again!
