Year 1 have been working so hard this half term whilst learning about the Queen. We have enjoyed learning about the Queen’s coronation, The Crown Jewels, the Royal Coat of Arms and the Commonwealth. During this time, we have had a go at observational drawing. Everyone in the Class has tried to draw a portrait of the Queen, taken from The Queen’s Wardrobe. It depicts the magnificence of her coronation. Year 1 went on to design their own coat of arms and were clever at explaining why they chose certain objects and colours. I have been so impressed I hope you are as well. I have chosen just a couple to highlight our work.
