Class 1 and 2 had the pleasure of walking down to St Mary Magdalene’s church in Keyworth to take part in Time Travelling activities with Churches Together in Keyworth. We split into 4 groups and worked our way through different activities that all formed part of the Christian Easter story. We waved palm leaves and shouted “Hosanna!”, ate ribena and rich tea biscuits at the last supper, made flowers to celebrate the resurrection and discussed how Christians pray. As always, Willow Brook children impress with their enthusiastic singing and this was no exception! We have spent the past few weeks practising some very catchy tunes and adding in actions ready for singing and signing at the church.
Both classes were wonderfully polite, well behaved and a delight! A huge thank you to the adults from home who gave up their morning to join us as we travelled back in time. Here are some pictures of the day’s activities…
