After I  left the coast of Australia I sailed to the East Indian Ocean. I then arrived at the Coco Islands, or in English, the Keeling Islands. I was able to fully explore the Islands and I had the opportunity to explore the reefs as well as the land. There were two species of fire coral and many other species of algae. Also on the island were limited vegetation including coconut , moss lichen and fungus.

The coral islands were once just a little water washed reef and all the creatures on it were washed up one day. There were almost no animals on the island, and the only animals that were able to live there included the coconut crab, a species of rat, two species of bird, one small lizard, several species of spider and thirteen species of insect.

I am excited for my next dock of the ship I hope it will be just as interesting as this one .
