On Tuesday 28th June, the Year 5 & 6 mixed cricket team played against Costock in a friendly match. For most of the children, this was their first experience of playing a cricket match and despite not winning the game, myself and Mr Magner were incredibly proud and delighted with the teams performance against a strong Costock side.
On Thursday 30th June, Willow Brook returned to Costock with the Year 4 & 5 girls’ football team to play in a friendly match. It was an exciting game, filled with chances for both sides. The result ended as a 2-2 draw (an own goal and Pia scoring the 2nd). We almost found a winner right at the end but it wasn’t to be and the team can be proud of their efforts. Well done to the team, Pia, Millie, Jessie, Jessica, Ava, Mara, Joy and Zoha. The future of girls football at Willow Brook looks bright!
