Class 3 had a fantastic trip to the Recycling Centre on Monday this week. The children (and adults!) learnt how to be ‘Bin Smart’ when it comes to recycling and were shocked by some of the things we should and shouldn’t actually be recycling. We then got to learn how the process works at the Material Recovery Facility in Mansfield and were lucky enough to get a tour of the factory where we got to see the machines in action. The final activity of the morning was a quiz to test our listening skills. The winning pair scored 17 out of 17 and won a recycling bin pencil sharpener as their prize!
