The drones are coming…

As part of our futuristic Aquatropolis focus we looked into the future of policing. We learnt that in Dubai robot police officers have already been employed and we wondered what other technologies may lay ahead in the future of law enforcement. Perhaps drones? Well, as we discovered, they already are.  PC Vince Saunders, Chief Drone Officer for Nottinghamshire police joined us at Willow Brook, accompanied by two of the high tech drones. He amazed us with the capabilities of the machines and what the children found most interesting…the cost.

Nigel Best of Nottinghamshire Police also provided uniform for class 4 to try on after many were convinced by the drone pilot career prospects of our local police force.
