I had the pleasure of taking ten enthusiastic children to the South Notts Academy to take part in a cricket festival after school on Wednesday. As much as I love LEGO and jigsaw puzzles, it was a treat to swap year two's play afternoon for a trip to County Hall's debating chamber for our most recent pupil parliament meeting. I'm certainly very proud of them all!

I took eight elite children to play chess in the South Nottinghamshire chess tournament last night. Building on a fantastic start to the season earlier in the year, the boys played fantastically with wins across the board.
