Our girls chess team played in the first girls only Nottinghamshire chess league and performed very well indeed. Nearly all of the girls came away with some points and even those who didn't manage to create any checkmates, still had a great time and gained valuable tournament experience. I'm certainly very proud of them all!
It was that fun time of year again for Class 1 and Reception to pull on their wellies and go for a walk around Keyworth. We spotted how Autumn is changing our landscape, along with a little bit of autumnal mud! !
On Monday Class 1 and Reception got very excited when they voyaged on a coach all the way back to Medieval Sherwood forest. Here we met with Maid Marion and Robin Hood. We also spotted lots of wintry woodland treats along with learning about Christmas traditions from Medieval times. It was a cold, bright sunny [...]

The girls played their first cup match of the year against Tollerton, who had already had a very successful start to the season. Our Willow Brook team took a while to get settled into playing away, with the wind in our faces and went two goals down before half time. After a little chat and [...]
Our rowing team have been attending school early each Friday morning since the start of September. They have been coached by the fabulous Miss Phillips ready for these competitions and their hard work has certainly paid off. All members of the team tried their absolute best and with the help of Quaver power successfully managed [...]

For many of these children it was their first time representing the school and taking part against other schools from the Rushcliffe area. The children were so proud to wear their kit like the older children do, [...]
