Class 1 tried lots of different fruits and described the taste and texture of them. We were very careful using the knives! Mrs Humphrey said that we would all have a go at trying the fruits but if we didn’t like it, we could put it in the bin. Wouldn’t it be an awful shame if we hadn’t discovered our favourite fruit yet just because we didn’t want to try it!? Lots of us tried new fruits that we had not tried before and discovered that we really liked them.
Then for homework we had to design a fruit kebab for someone at home. We carefully followed our design, cut the fruit and threaded it on to the wooden skewer before taking it home to present to our lucky grown up! Here are some photos of the research, making of and finished products…
