Last Friday, Willow Brook held their annual MacMillan Coffee Morning. Whilst eating cake for breakfast may be a challenge for some, we managed it in style!
Our Bake Off competition was fierce…Paul Hollywood would have had an aching arm from all the handshakes he would have given! After much deliberation (and another slice of chocolate cake!) medals were awarded to Macy, Eden, Wilf and Monty (our Junior bakers) and Mrs. Lorestani, Miss Watterson and Mrs. Broadhead (our senior competitors!)
Mrs. Lorestani’s Iranian bakes were the talk of the staff room, whilst Macy’s Harry Potter cup cakes (which were topped with a sorting hat and revealed your Hogwarts House in the colour of the filling, were pure magic!
Most importantly, we raised an incredible £925 for MacMillan… which made every bite worth it!
