Finishing off our sporting half term on Tuesday, five children represented Willow Brook at a handball festival at South Notts Academy. For all the children, this was their first taste of a new, exciting sport. We took part in the different drills and put them all into practice with a game vs Greythorn at the end. The fantastic five were awarded certificates for their efforts.
The following day it was an opportunity for many Year 3 & 4 children to make debuts and shine in their first taste of school football. Making the short journey over to Langar, the boys and girls produced superb results. The girls won 2-1 and the boys won 5-0. Four goals for Ralph W, one for Kaya, Lily and Hope. Brilliant individual and team performances all round. It was a really well spirited afternoon, the support from parents, grandparents, extended family and children was phenomenal. We’ll do it again sometime for sure!
