Wednesday was International Women’s Day and, once again, we made sure that Willow Brook girls understood that the world was at their fingertips and the importance of everyone driving towards a fair and equitable life.
We were inspired by the Tottenham/England footballer, Ellie Brazil, who delivered a great online assembly full of inspiration and top tips for making dreams come true. Fourteen years ago, she was sitting in the Willow Brook hall dreaming of becoming a star and loving life. This was the perfect spark for our day… The girls went off to take part in the England International Football challenge and everyone spent the morning writing their ideal career flight path. we talked about university, apprenticeships and ambition and the work the children did was just incredible! One child who has always dreamed of becoming a spy suddenly discovered MI5 and was quick to check out the qualifications needed!
Back out on the football pitch, Mudchester United won all three tournaments against Mole United! Some girls who had never played before discovered a new passion and Mr. Clarke made several new signings for his teams! They had a brilliant time.
