Last week Class 6 embarked on an exciting D&T project! They weekly theme within our Tales of the Unexpected topic was the lost city of Atlantis. After learning all about the mythical city (…or is it a myth?) the children started by researching and playing board games with the goal of planning and creating their own. The children had so many great ideas and they collaborated effectively in pairs or threes to create designs and prototypes to iron out problems before creating their own fantastic board games. Then after looking at instructions from board games in school they wrote detailed instructions for their own games and had a great time playing the different games in the classroom before finishing off with self and peer evaluations.
