Move over Michelangelo
As you know, our topic this half term has been all about time. We’ve studied the history of clocks, learned how to read, interpret and complete timetables in maths lessons and have used the book, ‘Strangeworlds Travel Agency’ as a stimulus for much of our writing. Art, of course, is of no exception to this!
We started off this half term learning all about Salvador Dali and one of his most notble pieces of work: The Persistence of Memory. This inspired us to create our own sculptures following in a similar design. The children certainly enjoyed getting ‘hands on’ with the clay and now simply have to wait patiently whilst the clay dries, ready for painting to commence at a later date! As ever, we took a few photos to hopefully capture the children ‘in action’ for you to enjoy.
