Agree to Disagree?
On our first Friday back to school, Year 5 engaged within a wonderful debate where we considered the following questions:
- Is ‘better late than never’ a good principle?
- ‘There is no greater harm than that of time wasted’ – agree or disagree?
- What do you think life would be like were we to travel into the future?
The class scurried to record their arguments and counter arguments and were so eager to share their thoughts. We listened carefully and considerately, challenged politely and expressed ourselves eloquently. It was a real pleasure to spend the afternoon with such articulate and well-considered children who had clearly given a lot of thought to their opinions.
