As part of our whole‑school topic, Wacky Races, the children have been busy designing and building their very own vehicle prototypes. This week, they explored two exciting types of motion: an elastic‑powered vehicle, powered by stored energy in stretched elastic, and a wind‑powered vehicle, which harnesses the force of moving air. The children investigated how each mechanism works, tested different materials, and evaluated how design choices affected speed and movement. It has been a fantastic opportunity for creativity, teamwork and hands‑on STEM learning!
