Our 2020 Harvest Celebration
As is traditional at this time of year, as a Willow Brook community we would like to take a moment to celebrate the season of harvest. As well as being thankful for all that we have, we like to use this opportunity to support a local project to share just a little with others. Our current school situation might make this year a little different but, nevertheless, we can work together to make a small difference.
On Friday 9th October we will be asking for donations of food and provisions which we will be donating to The Friary drop-in centre in West Bridgford. So that we comply with our current health and safety risk assessments, we would ask that you leave your donations at the different table stations on the Friday morning as you follow our one-way path at morning drop off.
Our Friends of Willow Brook committee will be on hand to safely pack away your gifts, all of which will be collected by the Friary that morning. Nothing will need to be brought into the building and packaged food is clearly easier to handle than fresh fruit and vegetables on this occasion.
Our help has been so gratefully received in past years so we would love to support this important community project as it continues to offer practical help and community care.
An email has been forwarded to you with a picture from the project leaders to quickly communicate the kind of donations they most appreciate. I hope that it is a useful guide.
With thanks, as always, for your help.
