We have been busy with sport this week and tomorrow is a rare day off for the Willow Brook sporting teams!
Monday saw the girls’ football team travel over to Rosecliffe to play in a friendly match. This was an opportunity for a lot of the team to make debuts / get valuable minutes. The scoreline finished 1-0 to the opposition, but plenty of fun was had and even though the weather was wet, spirits were definitely not dampened on the pitch.
On Tuesday, the boys made a perfect start to their league campaign, making the trip to Sutton Bonnington and producing a convincing 5-0 win. It was a really good team performance with a hat-trick from Fabian and a brace for Teddy L.
Onto Wednesday… seven very excited children from Year 3/4 got the opportunity to play a brand new sport called Paceball at South Notts Academy. Paceball is a fast paced game combining basketball, netball and dob. We had an amazing time and even I got to join in!
Last but not least, earlier today, the girls kicked off their league campaign vs Candleby Lane at home. Although we lost, there were lots of positive areas of play. Well done girls.
Take a lot at our team photos below. Unfortunately I didn’t take a team photo vs Rosecliffe due to the weather, so thanks to Mara, Eden, Elliana, Zoha, Pollyanna, Aniya, Ava, Mia and Annabel.
