The Willow Brook half term is off to a action-packed start with the Big Bad Wolf introducing our whole-school topic, Heroes and Villains’!
It’s easy to believe what you’ve always heard… the wolf, with his sharp teeth, razor-sharp claws and reputation for spoiling more than one traditional tale, is not to be trusted. But as there’s no evidence of a fair trial, the Willow Brook children are about to hear a different perspective. We are about to twist the tales, consider a different truth and hear what the wolf has to say. This week, we have even learnt that Mr. Wolf worked in the world of science prior to other antics taking over. His investigations in the Fairy Tale world have led him to question Cinderella’s pumpkin transport, his brother’s huff and puff and the suitability of gingerbread as a house building material. He’s asked for our help in making sure his theories are correct.
Our half term of Heroes and Villains leads nicely on to our Christmas production of Superstan! We are adding the wonderful adventures of Traction Man by Mini Grey to our topic. His freeze-frame antics with Scrubbing Brush show what it’s like to be a superhero in the kitchen!
