On Tuesday 21st June, the Willow Brook Cricket Team took part in the annual Keyworth Cricket Club Festival.
Victories against St. Edmund Campion and Crossdale saw us finish top of our group and qualify for the CT Cup semi-final against Bunny. A great win secured our place in the final against Willoughby, 3 wins from 3 became 4 wins from 4 and we won the tournament!
Alongside their matches, the children had the privilege of showcasing their cricket skills to Trent Rocket stars Steven Mullaney and Georgia Davis.
I am so proud of how well the team worked together, whether it was batting, bowling or fielding, all the children played their part in bringing the trophy home to Willow Brook.
A special thank you goes to Mr Magner for his help with cricket coaching. I cannot wait for more festivals and hopefully some more trophies!
