This week, we have been exploring the traditional tale of The Little Red Hen who asks her farmyard friends, “who will help me … grow the wheat, make the flour and bake the bread?”, to which they all reply, “not I!” Fortunately, the Reception children children were much more helpful than the farm animals and we all worked together to follow a recipe and knead the dough to make our very own loaf of bread. It smelled and tasted delicious!
