I was delighted to see Class 5 took their design brief, to meticulously design a reinforced cuboid, very seriously. They want to achieve and they now realise that good planning and good teamwork are key to enjoying success. The children needed to create accurate measurements, think about how many reinforcements they would need and where, as well as how they intended to attach the sides and the reinforcements to the cardboard. Some groups had progressed as far as starting to draw out their plans on cardboard, others not. Some groups have chosen to draw ‘nets’ but this is not a requirement. We will continue next week…
