On Tuesday 20th September, the Year 5 & 6 girls football team competed in a rearranged Rushcliffe Women’s Euros Tournament at Gresham Sports Park. The girls were drawn in group 1 with St Edmund Campion, Radcliffe and Greythorn. They produced fantastic results vs all 3 schools meaning we finished top of our group and qualified for the next stages. Despite the next games not going in our favour, we still did enough to come 3rd overall and receive bronze medals for our efforts! The girls were delighted with their medals, as were Mr Boyd and I. Their efforts were superb throughout and they thoroughly deserved their rewards at the end. A great start to girls football this year, the future is looking bright!
