A victory for the boys and a victory for the girls over the last week!
The boys played Lantern Lane in a league match. It was certainly up there as one of the best all round performances I have seen all season. Going 1-0 up early on, through Hughie, the boys weathered a Lantern Lane storm of pressure to go into the break 1-0 up. Fabian finished off a fantastic team move in the second half to put us 2-0 up and that goal being a contender for goal of the season for sure. Lantern Lane pulled one back but it was too little too late and the boys came out deservedly 2-1 winners. Well done boys.
Earlier today the Year 5 girls played Rosecliffe in a friendly match. For all of the girls, this was a good opportunity to shine on the pitch and put in a claim to continue to have more opportunities next year in Year 6. Two quick goals in the first half from Ava saw us 2-0 up. Rosecliffe pulled one back from a long range strike, but the girls held out and also came out 2-1 winners! All the girls were fantastic, they did Mr Boyd and myself proud and we hope they continue to come to football training next year.
Thank you to all the parents who came to the support. Two brilliant games played over the last week.
