Seven girls from Willow Brook were given the opportunity to represent their school on Saturday morning, many of them for the first time. Although we were slow to warm up, the early team talks eventually started to sink in and the girls began to play with the fire and passion that I have come to expect from Willow Brook children. Every single one of the girls got stuck in and made their presence felt on the pitch. Some hard earned points were won with nail biting draws, and there were some excellent shots, some of which flew off the crossbar and into the cars. We might not have won any trophies this time, but all of the girls had a fantastic time and certainly learned a lot!
