Class R and Class 1 had a brilliant time at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We saw a variety of interesting animals, such as polar bears, tigers, giraffes, zebras… to name but a few. We also had a really interesting session delivered by a zoo keeper who explained, in detail, how to classify animals into different species into mammal, birds, reptiles and invertebrates. Afterwards we had the chance to get to meet some of the animals up close where they we introduce to Shelly the giant African land snail, Millie the Giant millipede and a snake, whose name escapes me! Thank you to all of our parent volunteers who helped to make the day possible, we really do appreciate it! The children had a great day and their behaviour was superb. They really did Willow Brook proud when representing our school out and about in the community. Here are a few the photographs from the day’s events.
