Reading at Willow Brook

Reading at Willow Brook

Thank you to all those who attended our Reading Information Evening this week – we hope it was a useful insight into how children learn and progress through the school. Having you as partners in the journey is very important and from simple tips for intervening in your child’s reading at home to understanding our planned route for whole school improvement, gave the evening real purpose.

If you were not able to be with us on Tuesday, I am attaching the link to the PowerPoint that was used below – I hope that you will be able to glean some information from it. If you need any further information on how to get on board with helping your child with reading or how Willow Brook supports and teaches the process, please get in touch.

You should have received a poster of each teacher’s chosen Top Ten on Friday – these will be available on-line soon. They make useful recommendations for great reads for all ages.
