Continuing our whole school theme of Connections, Willow Brook had an exhilarating experience celebrating British Science Week! Throughout the school, each class took part in a range of practical STEM activities. Class 6 made working hands, Class 5 created clinometers to measure the height of trees, Class 4 tested the hypothesis, ‘Do people with longer legs jump further?’ Class 3 made movable arms using balloons, Class 2 created their own blood, Class 1 put their technology skills to the test by creating sock puppets and Class R had lots of fun exploring floating and sinking.

We also had inspirational guest speaker, Dr Eva Baker, join us on Wednesday who inspired us all to become scientists (especially the girls!), along with her husband Dr Tim Baker who put on a range of exciting, practical sessions for each class.
