The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the exhibition centre where they tried on chainmail, helmets and dresses from the 15th century.  They experienced shooting an archer’s bow and watched a re-enactment of the battle on film.  Many weapons were displayed for them to see and four different characters shared their experiences throughout the exhibition.

Then it was time to meet the Bosworth Solider!   He showed them all the various weapons used during battle and talked them through the different outfits people would wear dependent on their wealth and status.  Then it was time for the children to have a go… they carried out drills on the hill with a poleaxe… everyone survived!

After lunch it was time to explore the battlefield site with our experienced guide who shared details of what happened and where.  The children loved holding the House standards and watching them blow in the wind on the top of Ambion Hill.
