We talk so much these days about the well-being of our children but there’s no doubt that any experience involving happy exercise or music has an incredibly positive impact on that all important feel-good factor. Young Voices is the biggest children’s choir concert in the world and on Friday night, Willow Brook’s choir was at the heart of 7,000 performers at the Birmingham Arena. What could be more lively than singing at the top of your voice and dancing the night away!
We have been rehearsing since September and a final practice together during the concert afternoon made sure we were ready for the big night…
The evening was exciting! As well as our own performances, we sang along with the winner of this year’s The Voice, The Shires and, of course, the marvelous Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet fame!
We had a ball! We danced, smiled, sang and cheered… and left feeling happy and tired! Yet again, your children were fabulous. Their enthusiasm and behaviour made them a joy to be with. As you can see from the photos, Friday nights don’t get much better than this!
