Over the past week, Class R have had a wonderful time learning all about quails… not whales! The excitement started last week when the children arrived at school to find that one of nine eggs had hatched. Throughout the day we witnessed three more births and the other five were waiting for us by the following morning. Exciting! Since then we have learnt about he life cycle of a quail and how to look after them whilst they were in school. Unfortunately, the quails have had to return to Mrs Hollingshead’s house as they quickly outgrew their enclosure. However, Mrs Hollingshead did say that she would bring a couple of them back into school to see how they hand changed. Here are a few photographs of us getting to know our new arrivals…
