This week we have been learning all about capacity. After completing our work all about reading different scales (even some with missing numbers!) we set about creating our very our marvellous mixtures inspired by George’s Marvellous Medicine. We made the most of the little bit of sunshine and took our learning outside the classroom.
Our task was to measure the liquids very carefully to get the amounts and colours just right. The vocabulary the children used during this activity really impressed me. We soon discovered that if we had a little too much of each colour we ended up with dirty pond water instead of the magical mixture we were hoping for. Here are some pictures of us hard at work.
