We were delighted to welcome Dr. Tim Baker into school this week to arm Year 4 with the knowledge they might need in a situation of life and death! Tim is a doctor who often works on the air ambulance, and he was keen to make sure that Willow Brook children understood some first aid basics.

The children listened intently, and then demonstrated their resuscitation techniques. They used the dummies to practise their techniques as well as learning about the ambulance service and how to get help in an emergency.

As you can see from the photographs, we clearly have some medics in training!

Willow Brook is home to a community defibrillator, and now year 4 understand why!
