Yesterday, the whole school got together to explore the key messages of this year’s Safer Internet Day. (SID!) We got behind a global campaign to ‘Be the Change – Unite for a Better Internet’. Our learning was focused on the power of images and we watched videos that taught us the importance of sharing photographs responsibly and how altered images don’t always show us the full picture.

We used some great resources (including 2 videos specifically designed for 5-7 and 7-11 year olds) – follow the link below to watch again or explore the learning resources further:

Each year group completes their own unit of work on internet safety as part of our computing curriculum. Year 6 also explore different issues more thoroughly in D.A.R.E.

Information to help parents support their primary aged children stay safe on line will be included with our next newsletter.
